About Natalie

As long as I can remember I’ve had a colouring pencil or pen in my hand. My main inspiration comes from absorbing the everyday; from commuting on the Dart to the beauty of nature, to the events and people who connect us collectively.

I began my creative career as a theatre set designer and my work was seen in The Galway Arts Festival. I studied Model Making in DIADT. In recent years, I have veered towards mixing photographs and graphics and taught myself Adobe illustrator and my world suddenly became so much brighter. I now work as Creative Lead for Dubray in Dublin. I recently worked as a visual consultant on a forthcoming Irish feature film (more to come on that one). 2022 saw my first solo and collective exhibitions.

I spend as much time on my art as I possibly can but I also spend time gardening on my inner city balcony. I love walking through Dublin city, taking Dart journeys, dancing to hip hop and techno. My biggest creative influences are Bowie, Edward Hopper, David Hockney, Frida Kahlo, Tim Walker and Alexander McQueen, to name but a few. You might find me on a visit to The V&A Museum, one of my favourite places to explore.
